Internet with $5.99 plan

New postby Mavelex on Thu Dec 20, 2007 1:10 am

I found this site that helped me get the internet with the $5.99 plan. It's originally for the Dash but also works for the Shadow.

Works for me

Ya, I found these settings in another forum couple of weeks ago.
Works like a charm.

Only thing tho, Streaming programs like (Mundu Radio) will not work.
Unless anyone know a hack for that too.

It's blocked by the proxy. I just ponied up for the total internet plan. It's so much faster than that proxy, and I'm streaming di.fm over edge right now.

So how fast would the internet be over the proxy. Is it even worth getting. I mean if the speed is slow, then even the 5.99 would seem not worth it.

will it still run the streaming programs if you connect via wi-fi after you change these settings (if you have the TCPMP program) ?

You can test your speed by going to http://www.dslreports.com/mspeed on your phone browser.

I'm getting my replacement Shadow on Monday and I'll post my results using the T-Zones proxy.

so what does this mean? can you get the 5.99 t-zones plan to work faster?
or would it not work at all without this fix??
